Hotel Amigo Brussels - Bel'Oeuf Expo

"The concept is to fuse two Belgian cultural powerhouses - chocolate and surrealism - and to let everyone interpret it in their own way," says Marc Ducobu.
It's with these words from the master chocolatier and founder of the annual "Bel'Oeuf" exhibition that we wish everyone a wonderful Easter Sunday (it's raining, as it does every Easter Sunday...)!
For the past 10 days, the Amigo Hotel has been the stage for a marriage of creativity, to say the least, as we in Brussels often adore creative pairings!

Although this union is temporary, allowing our master chocolatiers to harmonize with Magritte and surrealism has taken each of them at least 35 hours of work!

Alongside Marc Ducobu, Pierre Plas, Laurent Gerbaud, Pierre Marcolini, Camille Druart, Jean-Philippe Darcis, Yasushi Sasaki... it's impossible to list them all here because 30 Belgian master chocolatiers have been inspired by the creative madness of surrealism, and that's saying something about the difficulty of the challenge, given the creativity of this artistic movement born in the capital.

The Amigo Hotel and its Bar A, dedicated to René Magritte, are the perfect places to dive delightfully into this surrealistic expo while savoring one of their perfect cocktails. But also, the hallways, the lobby, and inside the famous Bocconi restaurant offer another perfect opportunity to discover these art pieces until April 2nd.

So, you still have time to combine the useful with the (very) pleasant since each of these sublime works of art is sold for the benefit of the St-Pierre Foundation, at a price of 500€ each.
