Thoughtful ways to honour Mum with style, care and heart.

There are few topics more delightfully biased—in the gentlest, most loving way—than an article dedicated to that blessed day celebrating mothers around the world. Especially our own.

Because while the world marks Mother's Day on over 35 different dates, this story is all about ours — the one celebrated on the second Sunday of May.
To all of us lucky enough to still have our mothers close, this is our chance to prepare something truly special.
Whether you're a daughter or a son, it's a moment to craft memories.

And yes, while some of us will be making actual reservations and planning surprises, others will celebrate through beautiful imagination and gratitude. That counts too. I know because I’m one of them.

So here it is: a deliciously indulgent day, written like a screenplay, where every moment is tailored to delight Mum.
It all begins—as it should—with picking her up in a limousine. (A taxi works too, but let’s be honest: a limo has magical powers when it comes to making someone feel truly special.)

According to the forecast, there's a 44% chance of full sunshine this Sunday—we'll take it!
So the day kicks off with a proper, ultra-healthy and absolutely delicious breakfast on a sunny terrace. Two tried-and-true spots: ONO Brunch & Coffee or La Fabrique en Ville.

With a radiant start to the day, it's time to let the city drift behind you and head into nature.
About 40 minutes away (the limo ride will fly by while you chat with Mum about childhood memories), you'll arrive at Elaisa Wellness, a heavenly spa nestled in the Belgian countryside.

Far from city noise and micro-particles, this sanctuary is all about revitalising body and mind. Spend the late morning soaking in the energy, before sitting down to a light, gourmet lunch. Pro tip: try their crystal-infused pure water. It's magic in a glass.

Back in the city, and still glowing, it's time for some beauty indulgence.
A rare and luxurious moment to share: hair treatments, blowouts, intense care rituals, followed by a manicure together.
Top spots? John Velasquez, Maison Roger 1937, or Beauty Universe. You'll both walk out refreshed and radiant. By now it’s already 4pm (time always flies faster on special days!), and there's still one crucial chapter left: shopping.

Whether you're browsing accessories at Delvaux or KAAI, or stepping into high fashion with Elisabetta Franchi, Natan, or the beloved Belgian designers at STIJL, shopping with Mum is part style hunt, part bonding ritual. The key? Support her choices, gently steer her from the maybe-not-quite-rights, and enjoy the ride.
Finally, the day draws to a close with a dinner worthy of this journey.
Brussels offers many gems, but for this occasion, only the best will do: Brugmann at the green terrasse and for the perfect cuisine and service, Karen Torosyan at Bozar, a masterpiece for your dinner, Le Chalet de la Forêt, 100% perfect and nature or Comme chez Soi, temple of taste and love in the plate...

Don’t forget the limo as a stylish finale.
We already wish the happiest Mother’s Day to all mums—and to all the sons and daughters putting their hearts into planning a day as extraordinary as the woman they’re celebrating.
