What a wonderful idea from our friend Alain Tholl de l'Enclos, to visit the charming seaside town of Perros-Guirec (or Peroz-Gireg in Breton) and once again, (see article “A Touch of Brittany”) remind us of this much-loved Brussels getaway: Brittany.



On the menu for his trip? A few days of pure bliss, with his feet in the water, pampered and spoiled, enjoying massages — and let’s not even get started on the culinary delights! Alain has a taste for the finer things in life, but it seems this time he found the perfect balance between pleasure, healthy gourmet cuisine, thalassotherapy, and a heavenly escape he’s eager to share with us.

"How thrilled I was when I had the honor to be invited to explore a little corner of Brittany, and more specifically, the magnificent Roz Marine Hotel in Perros-Guirec on the Pink Granite Coast (named after the granite formations that surface with a reddish-brown hue).
This is a completely renovated hotel complex, brought back to life in 2023, blending Breton tradition with modernity, carrying the charm of a family home where noble materials and contemporary design objects harmoniously meet to delight guests who choose to settle here for a stay dedicated to hiking along the Armor Coast… or simply for the thalassotherapy experience.

To that end, Roz Marine houses one of the finest Thalion wellness centers, exuding a serene atmosphere with its soothing color palette.

Time to explore… First stop: my room, offering an incredible view of the azure sea. Yes, Brittany is sunny and can indeed display Mediterranean hues. Side note: it’s on the terrace that I’ll be writing this article…

The discovery continues. On the garden level, there’s a restaurant named “L’Héliotis,” serving a variety of seafood and land-meets-sea delicacies worthy of an exquisite cuisine. There’s also a second dining option at Roz Marine: “La Suite,” where more refined dishes with a noble touch are offered in a more intimate setting.

Clearly, this is a haven designed to foster relaxation, where guests can enjoy the various lounges available, whether by the fireplace with a board game and a delicious house cocktail, or outside, sheltered from the sea breeze.

During this wellness retreat, I was delighted to indulge in the seawater pool enriched with trace elements and its multiple relaxing jets, all while taking in the breathtaking view of the vast surrounding blue expanse..

To conclude: the journey continues at the "Celtic Path," featuring three seawater pools at temperatures of 17°, 29°, and finally 36°. This progressive ascent is followed by a gentle descent for complete relaxation.

The adventure wraps up with a sauna, a hammam, and a sensory shower. After this rejuvenating experience, a comforting pause in the lush winter garden awaits, complete with a herbal tea corner, before heading to a treatment room for a signature care experience from the “Thalion” brand, specifically the “Volupté de Mers” treatment—a tranquil 50-minute escape.
