If there's one artistic event in Brussels that deserves a mention above all others, it’s undoubtedly BRAFA – especially the 2025 edition of this now-legendary rendezvous, destined to make the arts shine, all arts and all artists, in an atmosphere that’s uniquely warm yet sharply sophisticated, bringing a level of expertise you’ll only find in Brussels!
2025 marks a landmark anniversary, making it an extraordinary edition. With Mr. Klaas Muller having recently taken the helm as President last June, BRAFA has firmly established itself as an institution – a space for discovery and exchange, where passionate collectors, experts, and art lovers come together.
Now in its 70th year, this milestone celebration awaits us from Sunday, January 26, to Sunday, February 2, 2025.
As with every edition, BRAFA prioritizes visitor comfort and experience, featuring world-renowned galleries, a blend of creativity, styles, and trends, and, of course, champagne bars, restaurants, and a suite of services to make exploring this 70th edition unforgettable.
An extraordinary event calls for an extraordinary guest: this year, the esteemed Joana Vasconcelos will be the guest of honor, bringing her magical, ultra-colorful, and creative universe to BRAFA.
BRAFA: Why did you accept the invitation to be BRAFA’s guest of honor in 2025?
Joana: "I am deeply honored to be the guest of honor for the upcoming BRAFA edition, particularly because this is a festive occasion celebrating the 70th anniversary of the fair – a milestone that underscores both its historical significance and its enduring impact on the international art world. BRAFA’s longevity reflects its vital role for art connoisseurs and collectors, fostering an environment where art’s past, present, and future intersect. Being part of this celebration is not only a privilege but also a wonderful opportunity to engage with an event that has become synonymous with cultural preservation and artistic innovation."
The 2025 edition will also shine a spotlight on an exciting collaboration with the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA).
At BRAFA, KIK-IRPA will have a space near the King Baudouin Foundation, where they’ll showcase their mission across art conservation, restoration, collection management, and scientific analysis. Visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at how specialists study and document artworks, uncovering fascinating insights into their history and craftsmanship.
You’ve got it – we’ll be there, and we can’t wait to welcome you, glass in hand, to share our passion for art and artistic creativity!
Let us also salute the loyalty of the main partner of this extraordinary Brussels event, Delen Private Bank, whose genuine commitment and unwavering support have strengthened this partnership since the beginning of their collaboration.
