Every day we meet them and even if we rarely stop to observe them, these thousands of resident flowers have always shared their existence with us and continue to grow in number all around us. Today, Brussels has more than 790 different species of higher plants, the majority of which bloom in their season.



This multitude makes it one of the cities which offers the most important floral diversity in the world and especially in Belgium since the city alone brings together more than half of the species of our entire country! The city seems very attractive for these small multicolored creatures and in particular several species of exotic Orchids and among the rarest!
His Majesty can be observed in many places such as the edges of the Foret de Soignes, in the city center, in Uccle, in the marshes of Laerbeek or in the valley of Woluwe.
More than 20 different species have been identified in the floral history of Brussels. The Orchid is considered the Queen flower of the plant kingdom, it is capable of living for more than a century and its beauty is breathtaking.



Recognized for its medicinal or cosmetic properties, the Queen offers us above all its rare olfactory components, complex molecules which will be added to the formulas of the most precious and intoxicating perfumes.
The Orchid is an extraordinary flower, the major perfume houses know it well since all of them use its essences and some have committed to preservation and protection programs.
Like the Maison Guerlain for example and its Orchidarium, a research laboratory dedicated to Her Majesty and its various partnerships with nature reserves around the world to promote the polyculture of the Orchid in its natural environments.
