Since May 9, the race is on to win the stars of the Queen Elizabeth Competition, dedicated this year to the cello, major instrument of the world's most beautiful symphonies.

Since yesterday and throughout this week, it is the final stage of the finals, the last straight line to glory!
The 12 finalists must each perform a concerto of their choice and the compulsory work by Jörg Widmann, composed especially for this session.
The candidates receive this work on the day they enter the Chapelle Musicale.
They have one week, no more and no less, to study it, without outside help.
