Facade story

Rejuvenation requested, crowdgiving in process...

Brussels is known worldwide for many reasons, one of them being its Art Nouveau architecture.
Without being too chauvinistic, we can say that we have the most splendid architectural achievements born under this blessed era of architecture.
Today we focus on one of them, probably the most emblematic of all, because it needs our generosity to be reborn and continue to make Brussels shine around the world, we are talking about the Hannon Hotel (photo cover - 1905).

Next spring, the Hannon Hotel will finally open its doors to everyone of us, but for the time being, the house needs a renovation, a major cleaning, a facelift we might say.

The owners have therefore decided to organize an appeal for funds and the generosity of those who wish to help them give this masterpiece of Art Nouveau a new life, looking to the future in order to prepare for this long-awaited public opening!
The building was built between 1903 and 1904 for Édouard Hannon, and is the only Art Nouveau building by the architect Jules Brunfaut.
The facades of the Hannon Hotel combine white brick, Euville stone and blue stone. The hotel has two strongly asymmetrical facades: a short facade of a single bay on Avenue Brugmann and a larger facade of two bays on Avenue de la Jonction, the two facades being joined by a triple corner bay.
Let's not let this heritage get lost, let's participate to its renovation and its crowdgiving organized with the Promethea platform!
