Flowers inside
As Magritte stands at the forefront with his metaphorical and colorful creations, alongside Marcel Mariën, Pol Bury, and E.L.T Mesens, born in the historic neighborhoods of St-Géry and one of the great founders of this Brussels and Belgian artistic movement, surrealism meets the world of floral art this August in the heart of Brussels.
The Brussels City Hall is arguably one of the most fabulous administrative buildings in the world, holding treasures of art and stone, forbidden chambers, and architectural wonders.
And now, as I pen this article, something exciting is brewing within the grand halls of this magnificent structure – an explosive encounter between Belgium and the world's most talented and acclaimed floral designers and the dreamlike realm of surrealism!
What could be more creative and occasionally surreal than nature itself?
The realm of the vegetal, with its countless choices, varieties, colors, and forms, sometimes displaying perfect linear designs and other times embracing meticulous disorder, its millions of flowers destined to seduce.
It is no wonder that this floral symphony will take place starting from August 11th, unveiling 15 extraordinary surreal floral creations along an itinerary that will open new secret doors and enchant us with the magical world of floral art within our City Hall!
This extraordinary event is artfully orchestrated by the teams from the Flower Carpet and Floralien.
A surprise on the Grand Place is also promised, but details remain a well-kept secret.
