Italian Cuisine in Brussels.

In the majority of the Konbini interviews (short questions / short answers) we did with our Insiders, when we asked the question "Your favorite cuisine in Brussels, Italian or Thai? They answered in favor of Italy...

I love Italy, this country is unique on so many points, the culture, the art, the music, the beauty of the mountains or the seaside, its small villages, its singing language, and... its cuisine and I would say especially its cuisine!

Writing an article dedicated to Italian gastronomy is a real pleasure, advising some Italian restaurants in Brussels is much more complicated, there are really a lot of them that know how to handle this art of pleasure.
As for its origin, we remain cautious, some say that Marco Polo would have brought back the recipe for pasta from his travels in Asia... no!
Near Rome, a tomb from the 3rd century B.C. was found, decorated with a bas-relief representing a pasta roller and a pasta cutter!
Let it be said, pasta comes from Rome... well from Greece and Rome... the truth is that the 2 countries share the trophy of the best idea in the world, that of cooking pasta!

An example to better situate... there is a World Atlas of Gastronomy and Cuisine (editor's note: www.testatlas.com ^^you're welcome), Belgium officially counts 43 regional dishes, which is already excellent considering the size of our beautiful country, Italy counts 1360, 5600 regional products and a turnover of more than 220 billion Euros in the world!
"Canederli ai quattro formaggi", "Carne capuliata", "Acciughini",... it doesn't say anything, but it makes you hungry!

Italian cuisine is first and foremost about taste!... No, Love... hmm, no! generosity... well, Italian cooking is all that, it is the respectful relationship with the elders and more precisely with the "Mama", it is a place, the kitchen, where everything happens, where everything is discussed and where everything always ends up around a good dish of "Tomatoes - Mozarella"...

Without further ado, because we could talk for hours about Italy and its gastronomic power, here is our Top Selection of Italian restaurants in Brussels and before that, we would like to pay tribute to the best Italian restaurant in the world (outside Italy), the Gellius in Knokke, and yes! Our friends Gianni Piretti and the chef Alessandro Breda have just received this prestigious award from the Italian guide (equivalent of the Michelin Guide) Gamberro Rosso! Congratulations to them!
