"In the Eye of the Photographer" is a series of publications that we offer to see Brussels through the eyes of our photographers.



It is well known that a good article is not made without good pictures.
Ruth Bernhard used to say "If you only see the obvious, you will see nothing".
We know how powerful a photo can be and how much it can provoke, how attractive it can be to capture attention, how it can require a few moments to think about it, the power of a photo is immense, each photo has its own energy, its own ability to create an emotion and in the journalism business, a photo can propel a story into every media outlet in the world.

At LB, we consider photography as an art in its own right, with its own styles, techniques, intentions and above all its photographers, painters in their eyes, their camera as a brush.
During the next few weeks, we will introduce you to a number of professional photographers, whom we have asked to play with us to show you Brussels through their cameras, calculated or unthinking moments, a learned or patient capture of the moment.
No brief, just their own selection of photos of the city, with their sensibility and their vision, no judgement, we are talking about taste here and taste is not an open question, it is very personal.
The idea is mainly to make you discover these photographers, to remind you the importance of these artists of the photographic technique, who constantly capture the best visual moments, just by pressing their shutter.
