In 2022, the prestigious worldwide association "Les Clefs d'Or" celebrates its 70th anniversary, a golden opportunity to put the spotlight on a profession that we love very much, with which we maintain relations and especially the Belgian national section, Les Clefs d'Or Belgium.

Through this history and this anniversary, it is the whole history of the customer service of the great luxury hotels and Palaces that we tell.
The creation of this worldwide association, which today gathers more than 4000 hotel concierges, really started in 1929 in Paris, with Mr. Pierre Quentin, chief concierge of the Ambassador hotel, who decided to gather the concierges of 11 hotels. Only a few countries then followed suit and joined the association, Belgium being one of the founding sections by joining in 1937.



However, it was not until 1952 in Cannes that the association became truly international and organized the first congress with 9 participating countries. On April 25th of that year, what was to become the UICH Les Clefs d'Or was created.

Today, the Clefs d'Or concierges represent one of the most important professional associations in the hotel industry, they are present in over 530 destinations and 80 countries!



In Belgium, there are only 11 hotels that offer a Clefs d'Or concierge lodge, guaranteeing a very high level of service to their guests: Hotel Amigo Brussels, the Steigenberger Wiltcher's, the Tangla Brussels, the Sofitel Brussels Europe, the MGallery Louise Brussels, the Made in Louise (boutique hotel), the Radisson Collection Grand'Place, the Marriott Brussels, The Hotel, the Manos 1er and one hotel in Antwerp, the Hilton Grotmarkt.
