A few days ago, we announced the addition of a new Brussels personality to the wonderful group of LB Insiders, Alain Tholl de L'Enclos.

Alain graciously welcomed us to share a glimpse of his life, his vision, his favorites—a chance to learn more about this compassionate man who has dedicated a significant part of his life to celebrating women.

LB: Maison Roger, the renowned Brussels hair and beauty house, has been connected to you throughout your many years dedicated to enhancing and beautifying the faces of women who entrusted you. What about today? Are you still as involved in the destiny of this institution?

ATDE: Maison Roger, known as the "maison of Care and Beauty," which has existed since 1937 and which I managed for several years, has brought me the joy of working once again with passion. It's about making women elegant through high-fashion updos, along with beautifully structured cuts that harmonize with their faces and personal style. Since 2019, I have been the artistic director and the brand holder, allowing me to represent the brand on a national and international scale. This includes showcasing this expertise in China, in Beijing and Shanghai. Additionally, we have been a silver partner at the Universal Expo in Dubai. Not to forget, through partnerships, we support certain non-profits carrying out beautiful projects.

LB: LB: Trends, fashion, beauty, well-being, as well as travels, experiences to embrace, favorite discoveries—topics in which we'll have the pleasure to read or hear from you in our editorial line!

ATDE: Indeed, I have always been passionate about what aesthetically beautifies... physically... relationally... what adds that certain flair to life, what nurtures the mind and body. Throughout the year, I'll be delighted to unveil my favorites in terms of creators and trends from nearby or distant countries—in any case, destinations that resonate with me.

LB: And today, how is life organized for Alain Tholl of L'Enclos in Brussels or elsewhere? What's new with you?

ATDE: Life has truly blessed me... but I believe I've done everything to be blessed as well, through hard work and good management of my affairs. I divide my time between several places: Brussels, where I enjoy attending numerous events in my own name or representing Maison Roger. I also cater to prestigious clients for significant receptions, weddings, or trips abroad, applying real professionalism when styling the Heir Grand Dukes of Luxembourg.

From a more "journalistic" perspective, I create my "Trends" segments on BEL RTL and work as a "Fashion and Trends" consultant for the weekend supplements of La Libre, DH, and the L'Avenir group. Recently, I've become an insider for Luxury Brussels.

When time allows, I return to the countryside in the province of Luxembourg, my birthplace, where I find great joy in simple pleasures—taking care of the house and the outdoors, accompanied by a team that helps me make them even more beautiful. Not to forget my lifelong friends, with whom I enjoy meetings, walks, and dinners.

If a few days of freedom are on the horizon, I head between Provence and the Cévennes, north of Uzès, to my property that radiates the colors and flavors of the south. Here, I relish meeting friends, tinkering in the estate, or decorating and redecorating the bastide—a place that has always brought me profound happiness, no matter the time of the year. If not on my shaded terrace, I also take pleasure in painting by the fireplace.

And the fourth place I love to spend a few weeks during the summer is on my boat. My greatest pleasure is sailing from port to port from Marseille to Menton, not forgetting the magical islands of Les Embiez, Port Cros, Le Levant, and Porquerolles. The French Riviera is indeed wonderful.
