Rollebeek street...
"There are corners of Brussels where I love to stroll, wandering to discover places brimming with originality.
Our capital is teeming with charming streets and delightful little squares.
Today, I want to share with you the wonders of Rollebeek Street, a place of interest on multiple levels.
Historically, it’s worth noting that on its left side, it borders one of the last remaining walls of Brussels. This charming, uphill, cobblestone street leads us away from the city center and takes us to the foot of a well-known spot: 'Le Sablon.'
Unlike some streets with forgotten storefronts, Rollebeek Street is pleasant and aesthetically pleasing for lunch, dinner, or just a drink.
The area is friendly with small shops and designer boutiques.
Two of these shops pleasantly surprised me.
First, a haute perfumery: 'Les Nouveaux Comptoirs Olfactifs', established in 2017, where I treated myself to a custom-made perfume crafted by Adja Bonco Sokona.
She has a novel approach that respects nature. She created a bespoke scent for me, transforming my memories and aspirations into enchanting olfactory notes.
Her unwavering commitment to the purity of ingredients and her collaboration with artisan perfumers won me over.
The natural raw materials used ensure the health of the skin.
Simply perfect!
Next, my choice fell upon a new place that's been highly praised.
The advice given here is intriguing, and the place is worth a stop: it’s a dark and stylishly decorated boutique called 'Espace Nabil Bardani.'
Nabil Bardani is one of the founders of this exceptional place, reminiscent of an apothecary’s backroom.
He provided me with highly professional advice on the origin and use of his products.
I found the exclusive skincare perfectly suited to my skin’s specifics among a vast selection of creams, oils, and other silky, luscious wonders from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.
It was a sensory journey to the land of beauty and goodness...for me, in this welcoming little corner of Brussels.
