In neurology, we speak of "cerebral fireworks", when we sing, we release an enormous quantity of small magical molecules, creating well-being, the endorphins.
Singing also plays an important role in personal development and self-knowledge, self-confidence takes a giant leap forward and the incredible benefits of singing, and particularly group singing, have been studied for memory and Alzheimer's disease sufferers.



You have to sing in your life, it's good for you, but sometimes not for others, without lying to ourselves, we don't all have the voice of Lara Fabian, the accuracy of the notes remains for some an option and we even manage to reach sometimes a level of false notes which can offend the sensitivity of the youngest...
So, even if "in the shower" or "alone in the car" remain the only official places where you can test your vocals without witnesses, you should not stop because it feels good!
Now, there are also many of you (more than we think...) who have, perhaps without knowing it, a voice that is between "not bad" and "oh yeah", many who have already said to themselves many times that they would like to find the opportunity to sing more, solo or with a group, a choir perhaps?
In Brussels there are many choirs (more than 30!), here is a first advice to follow for those who still hesitate, for information, singing in a choir is also efficient to strengthen your body in a soft but complete way (yes yes!).
Another option is to make an appointment in one of the many recording studios that can welcome you for a vocal coaching session and voice test, just like a pro!
We also propose a REAL singing event, just before the summer, on Sunday 19 June, no more hesitation for all those who want to celebrate the arrival of summer and the Brussels festivals, there is the event "LET'S ZING ENSEMBLE - SINGING BRUSSELS MAROLLES"!
A participatory event, open to all, where the pleasure of singing together comes first and a wonderful opportunity to unite our voices to welcome the beautiful season. Organised as part of the Fête de la musique, the Marolles district replaces BOZAR for this 2022 edition, you can join the event just to see, or sing along!
