Going to a show is really a great idea, it feels good, it's good for your health, for your inspiration, for your morale, and often we take the opportunity to go to a restaurant.
A show that gives us goosebumps and a lot of energy, followed by a dinner in a very good restaurant, honestly it's very hard to beat in terms of pleasure...
I'm sure that each of you knows the feeling you get on a show night.
Going to a show is an adventure that leads you relentlessly towards happiness, a communion of all these sensations that we share the time of a play, a concert, a show, a unique experience that begins without waiting for the opening of the curtain or the lighting, but as soon as you arrive in these places dedicated to artists.
Whatever the size of the building, or the kind of shows it hosts, there is always the search for your seats, usually comfortable armchairs, perfect for a session of contemplation of the place, watching the rows fill up if you arrive on time or being discreet if you are late by entering the room in dark mode.
Let's talk about the places in a series of articles that present you some of the most beautiful and mythic entertainment masterpieces of the capital.
From the Palais 12 to the Ancienne Belgique, from the Cirque Royal to the Botanique, from the Theatre National to La Monnaie,... for once the main subject is the building.

The Cirque Royal is a show institution in Brussels. This temple of the artists was at its origin the only permanent circus of Brussels, I speak to you about a time that the less than 150 years cannot know since the Royal Circus entertains the city since 1878!
Today, the Cirque Royal is a major venue for concerts, stand-up comedy and other performing arts. It has a capacity of 2,000 people and has just inaugurated the CLUB, a new, more intimate room for 350 people for more concerts and other creative workshops.

The National Theatre is also one of the capital's most iconic performing arts venues.
More than 200 curtain raisings for more than 40 titles per season, Theatre, dance, performance arts, new circus, great contemporary or classical ballets, the seasons are presented as a vast gradient of artistic practices, both emerging and recognized, Belgian and international.

Palais 12, with its 15,000 seats, is the largest hall in Brussels (with its little sister Forest National) and hosts the biggest shows on the national and international scene. Concerts, sports, shows but also conferences and fairs.
With perfect acoustics, ultra-modern infrastructures, and links to the largest European cities less than 2 hours away, Palais 12 is impressive.

See you next part to discover 3 other great buildings dedicated to entertainment, in the meantime, see you at the show!
