Stronger and stronger, higher and higher, this year the famous Bruxellons! festival blows out its 25th candle, displays an incredible program and stages a monument of the musical, West Side Story!




"Theater, musicals, magic, circus, poetry, young audience, humor, amateur theater tournament, ... Our memories are filled with stars. But your loyalty - 30,000 of you come to the Karreveld every summer - proves to us that this pleasure was shared. Together we were moved, we laughed, we cried, we applauded, we sang, ... We shared so many good moments. But know that this festival would never have existed without you, dear spectators. Because the performing arts are a living art, an art of exchange, an art of sharing. So, this summer, for its 25th anniversary, the Bruxellons! Festival presents 25 shows..." said Jack Cooper, Olivier Moerens and Daniel Hanssens, festival co-directors.

As usual, it is therefore at the Chateau de Karreveld that the festival will be held, a sublime place, a magnificent park, the program is rich, very rich and all the artists of the festival are waiting to meet us and make us live their stories from from July 10 and for two months.
Since their first edition in 1999, the brilliant team of Bruxellons! has taken up the challenge of producing, adapting, staging, sometimes in world premiere adaptation, the most formidable musical comedies and shows in the performing arts.

Since Arlequin in 1999, the first show produced and staged, until West Side Story this summer, the story and the world of this festival have only grown, the quality of the shows and performances too!
The reviews are unanimous and you only have to look at the attendance figures and the enthusiasm of the public every day of the summer to see that this artistic adventure has conquered many people, both the public and the professionals.

Bruxellons! begins its 2nd quarter of a century, with more than 350 shows, several thousand performances and 1,575 artists on stage, the Brussels summers are rocked each year by the performing arts and top-flight musicals such as Evita, la Mélodie du Bonheur , Blood Brothers, Sunset Boulevard, My Fair Laidy or Elisabeth last summer.
This year the fiery musical West Side Story will literally ignite the audience of the castle of Karreveld!

The pitch > Once upon a time, in the vibrant streets of New York City, there existed a neighborhood divided by the clash of two rival gangs—the Jets and the Sharks. This tale, known as "West Side Story," unfolded with a love that transcended boundaries and a hope that defied all odds.
In the heart of this urban turmoil, two souls emerged—Maria and Tony. Maria, a young Puerto Rican woman, embodied grace and innocence, while Tony, a former Jet member, exuded compassion and a longing for something more. Their paths crossed one fateful night at a dance, where their eyes met across a crowded room, and the world seemed to fade away.

Love, dance, romanticism, violence, emotions, magic, performances, singing, how good it is to be only children in front of all these shows and these artists who give the Brussels summer a wonderful note of happiness!
